Ms. Tart is a Dunn attorney who primarily serves Harnett County. She has been a member of the HCCF board for three years.

“I am honored to have been selected to serve as president of the HCCF board as we continue to carry out our mission to oversee a local community grantmaking program and inspire Harnett County citizens to make lasting and meaningful contributions to our community,” Ms. Tart said. “I am grateful to be working with our dedicated board members and for the excellent service of our past president, Mary Ellen Lauder.”

The Harnett County Community Foundation was established in 1991 as the local affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.

The HCCF has awarded more than $54,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations serving the citizens of Harnett County, including: Harnett County Literacy, COMBAT Veterans Treatment Court, Special Olympics of North Carolina, Muscular Dystrophy Association, CareNet Counseling, Erwin Historical Society, Room for Grace and Purr Partners Feline Rescue.

In addition to Ms. Tart, officers of the board include: Joe Giles (treasurer), Jason Gipe (secretary), Mary Ellen Lauder (past president) and Tilghman Pope (board representative to the executive committee).
